Climate change concerns, coupled with high oil prices, peak oil, and increasing government support, are driving increasing renewable energy legislation, incentives and commercialization.
Wind power is growing at the rate of 30% annually, with a worldwide installed capacity of 197 gigawatts (GW) in 2010. Areas where winds are stronger and more constant, such as offshore and high altitude sites, are preferred locations for wind farms.

Pile Guidance Frame (PGF)

Pile guidance frame (PGF) was produced for self-propelled jack-up platform ‘Wind Lift I’ and is used for precise positioning of the offshore wind turbines foundation piles, steel tubes measuring up to 90 metres in length and weighing about 450 tonnes, which has to be driven into the seabed.
